How we verify
Sources. Every entry lists at least two sources. We prefer primary or authoritative ones: agencies, museums, universities, official record bodies and respected reference works. Some entries currently rely mainly on general reference works such as Wikipedia; we are replacing those with primary sources entry by entry, starting with the most-viewed pages. A source is a place to check the facts, not text we copy.
Honest labels. Confirmed: the sources agree. Estimated: a range or a figure that is hard to measure. Disputed: credible sources disagree, and we say so. When we are unsure we choose Estimated or leave the entry out.
Original wording. Entries are written fresh from the facts. We do not copy sentences, tables, photos or charts.
Dates. Each entry shows the date its sources were last checked. Fast-changing topics (sports marks, technology, companies, living people) are re-checked on a regular schedule, and the date changes only when we actually re-check.
Use of AI. Drafting is assisted by AI tools. They can be wrong, so we show sources on every page and correct errors when they are reported.
Corrections. To report an error, email hello@worldswondervault.com with the entry name and, if you can, a source.
