Privacy Policy
World's Wonder Vault ("we", "us") is published by Ricky Palmos. Contact for privacy questions: hello@worldswondervault.com.
The short version. There are no accounts, comments or sign-up forms. We do not currently run analytics. We only receive the technical data a web server needs, and the email you choose to send us. If ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies, as described below.
Information we receive
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and time, to deliver the site, cache it and protect it from abuse. We use this only for running and securing the site.
Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and message. We use it only to reply and improve the site, and delete it when it is no longer needed or when you ask.
Information stored on your device
The site saves a few settings and scores in your browser's local storage so they persist: color theme and mode, layout choice, daily game results, streaks and best quiz scores. This stays on your device; we never receive it. You can clear it in your browser settings. Details are on the Cookies and storage page.
Fonts, images and videos are served from our own domain and storage, not from third-party font services.
Advertising
We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show and measure ads and, where allowed, to personalize them. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU).
Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, ads that use cookies or personal data are shown only after you consent through a consent message, and you can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings link when it is available. In some US states a similar message lets you opt out of personalized ads or the "sale" or "sharing" of data.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some laws treat ad-cookie data sharing with advertising partners as a "sale" or "sharing"; the choices above let you opt out of it.
Legal bases (EEA, UK)
Consent for advertising cookies and similar technologies; our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for server logs; and your request when you email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, California and other US state laws) you may have the right to know what we hold about you, access, correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and not be treated unfairly for using these rights. Email hello@worldswondervault.com; we respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Other things you should know
Links. Entries link to outside sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
International processing. Cloudflare and Google process data in the United States and other countries under legal safeguards they describe in their own policies.
Children. The site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Retention. Server logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules. Emails are kept only as long as needed.
Changes. We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
